Shipping policy international orders
Please note that our order processing times are separate from the shipping times.
All orders are processed within 1-2 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after receiving your order and payment has been made and received in full, we will start processing your order and you will get an email notification stating that your order is being processed. You will then receive another notification when your order has been shipped.
• Goods purchased to the value of $15 000 (USD) or more will be shipped free of charge
• Goods purchased under $15 000 (USD) ,will be charged between $100 (USD) to $150 (USD), depending on your area. Chat to your representative if you are unsure about shipping charges.
Your Jewellery order may be subject to local import duties and VAT, which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country however your loose diamond order will not incur import duties, only VAT charges will apply.
BYL Diamonds (Pty) LTD is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.
Once your order has changed to shipped, it could take approximately 7 to 10 working days to be delivered, please keep in mind that we aim to deliver your orders as soon as possible but this is out of our control as we use a third-party courier service. If you haven’t received your order within 10 working days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and order number, and we will track it for you.
Payment Policy international orders
We have advance payment policy only.
Payment secures your order.
Only once full payment is received will we be able to process your order and ship the goods.
Goods can be requested to be kept on hold for up to 24 hours only. we work on live inventory and goods can be sold 24-7 .
The Services may change from time to time and, as a result, it may be necessary for BYL Diamonds to implement changes to this Policy. Accordingly, BYL Diamonds reserves the right to update this Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Therefore, please review this Policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Information. This Policy was last updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of the Services after any changes or revisions to this Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Policy.

We are BYL Diamonds (Pty) Ltd, a private company in accordance with the Company Laws of the Republic of South Africa with registration number 2015/145946/07. BYL Diamonds and is a jeweller that designs, manufactures and sells/distributes diamond and other precious stone jewellery.
Protecting your information is important to us and we would like to explain why we collect, store and use your information and assure you that we will keep your information confidential. BYL Diamonds will only share your Personal Information when legally required to do so, if we need to do so in order to fulfil our agreement with you or you have given us your consent to do so.

What information do we collect, what do we use it for and how do we store it?
When you interact through our Site or other Services we may collect certain information from you, including Personal Information. We will collect Personal Information from you when you voluntarily provide us with such information. For instance, when you subscribe to our email newsletters or contact us with an inquiry.
The information BYL Diamonds may collect from you will vary but can include your name, address, e-mail address,
IP addresses or telephone number. By providing us with the information voluntarily, you are consenting to BYL
Diamonds’ use thereof and by doing so you acknowledge, agree and expressly consent that such Personal
Information may be transferred from you to BYL Diamonds’ servers and authorised third parties in respect of the Services.
Please also note that BYL Diamonds also receives and stores standard information from you of a non-identifiable nature, which is information which is received when you interact with the Site regarding your internet connection and online services. BYL Diamonds may use such information to track movements on the Site and improve the Site and online services. Such information will include the URL you came from, IP address, domain type, browser type, country your device is located and any search terms you entered on our website. This information will not identify you unless combined with Personal Information and BYL Diamonds does not use Personal Information in this process.
Furthermore, BYL Diamonds does not knowingly collect Personal Information of children without the consent of a parent or guardian.
Lastly, you might be interested in our various newsletters, to which you can subscribe. You can unsubscribe from our newsletters at any time and thereafter we will not send them to you.
What are cookies and how we use them
Neither cookies nor web beacons collect personal information such as the user’s name or e-mail address. You may also reject cookies as most browsers permit a user to decline cookies.
Disclosure/sharing of Personal Information
BYL Diamonds respects your privacy and is not in the business of selling or sharing your information for profit with any other organisation to use for their own purposes. We will only share your Personal Information as provided for in this Policy as follows:
- if it is necessary for BYL Diamonds to do so in order for us to deliver a Service to you as you have requested, accordingly it may be necessary to us to disclose your Personal Information to BYL Diamonds’ suppliers, affiliates, employees, agents or contractors.
- If BYL Diamonds is required to do so by law to share your Personal Information.
How do we protect your Personal Information?
BYL Diamonds takes all reasonable and appropriate measures to ensure that your Personal Information is safeguarded and secure. BYL Diamonds has reasonable standards of technology and operational security in place to attempt to prevent loss or misuse of any Personal Information. Any authorised employees of BYL Diamonds who are responsible for the maintenance of any Special Personal Information as defined by the Protection of Personal Information Act (No. 4 of 2013) (hereinafter “POPIA”) submitted by you are requested to maintain the confidentiality of such information, unless you have expressed to BYL Diamonds otherwise.
However, no system is perfect unfortunately and we cannot guarantee absolute security despite our best efforts. In the event that there is a privacy breach, we will let you know unless we are obligated by law not to do so.
Your rights in respect of your Personal Information
You have the right to know and have access to what kind of Personal Information we have of yours and can correct, if necessary, or delete out-of-date Personal Information we hold about you.
You also have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Information or to request that BYL Diamonds transfer the Personal Information we hold to another organization or directly to you.

REFUNDS AND RETURNS for online purchases
Products purchased online will be accepted for a refund or credit within 30 (thirty) days of delivery date and must be accompanied by the original sales receipt, packaging and all certificates, if applicable, subject to the Products being returned to BYL Diamonds in good, unused, original, saleable condition acceptable to BYL Diamonds.
Subject to clause 1 above, returned products will only receive a full refund of the Purchase Price once received in our studio in South Africa (excluding any courier charges, if applicable) return courier fees are for the purchaser’s cost. If the Product is being returned by an international Customer, BYL Diamonds shall deduct any applicable VAT, import duties and shipping costs from the Purchase Price prior to the return.
If the Products are defective within the first 6 (six) months from the delivery date, the Customer may return the Products to BYL Diamonds for a repair, or (for international purchase) BYL Diamonds can refer you to a representative in your country to repair the item.
Any repairs not collected by the Customer after 2 (two) months, and after the required notification process has been followed, will be sold to defray expenses by BYL Diamonds.
Please take note that BYL Diamonds is not obliged to accept returned Products and refund Customers where:
5.1. The Customer cannot provide proof of purchase;
5.2. If in the instance of a Product being sold as a result of direct marketing, the Customer cancels the Agreement long after the 30 day cooling off period has expired.
5.3. The Customer was afforded an opportunity to inspect the Products prior to their purchase and subsequently changed his/her mind about the Products. However, BYL Diamonds has a discretion in this regard and provides for a 7 (seven) day return policy as per in store refund and return policy;
5.4. The Products have been damaged, due to negligence;
5.5. The Products have been partially or entirely disassembled, physically altered, permanently, installed, affixed, attached, joined or added to, blended or combined with, or embedded within, other goods or property; or are a public health concern, evidence of abuse, tampering or misuse of the Products;
5.6. The Customer did not adhere to BYL Diamonds’ instructions or did not keep proof of repair.
The Customer may be entitled to refunds within 30 days of the delivery date of the Products if:
The Products are not the same as stated on the invoice to the Customer prior to delivery of the Products.
Refunds will not be given for special orders, discounted, and altered Products, including the sizing or resizing of a ring.
Refunds will be provided for EFT, cash, cheque and credit card purchases. The reversal of cash or cheque purchases will be effected by means of an electronic funds transfer into the bank account where the payment originated. A copy of the customer’s ID/Passport, banking details confirmation and the Customer’s signature on the refund form is required before a refund is processed to safeguard both the interest of the Customer and BYL Diamonds. In the event of a cheque purchase, a refund will only be processed after 14 (fourteen) Days to take into account the bank clearing process.
Reversal of credit card purchases will be effected in store upon presentation of the original credit card used to make the payment. All reversals processed via a speed point are subject to the relevant bank’s turnaround time for the clearing of the funds.
BYL Diamonds has the right to refund customers via electronic transfer regardless of the method of payment at managements discretion.
All refunds will only be done after original payment has been cleared and refund approved by BYL Diamonds management.
BYL Diamonds offers worldwide shipping to your door.
Shipping within South Africa and most international destinations are charged accordingly.
Local shipping (within South Africa) takes 3-4 business days from confirmation that your order has been shipped and is charged upon checkout.
International shipping takes 7-14 business days from confirmation that your order has been shipped – Note that some destinations might carry an additional shipping surcharge that is dependent on order value and delivery location.
Some countries prohibit the shipping of jewellery items and in the case where we are unable to ship to your destination, we would gladly assist with a full refund.

Please note total delivery time can vary from 3 – 31 days dependent on whether an item is in stock and ready to ships or whether it has to be manufactured.

Note that we are making use of third party suppliers to ship your order. Shipping delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances or clearing and forwarding delays.
